AnnotateIt! is an open source electronic response
system targeted at composition instructors and
students. It allows a user to annotate HTML and
provides facilities for group interaction.
Annotations may be either hyperlinked or inline,
depending on the user's preference. It also
features reporting of meta information (annotation
types and counts), predefined annotations,
community annotations, conversion of documents to
HTML for annotation, easy document management, and
an assignments calendar.
