Description du projet

ColdStore is a gigabyte-scale persistent object
store which mmap()s objects into a file (for
persistence), can allocate objects in a minimal
working-set of pages (for speed), permits library
versions to change without a rebuild of the store,
permits application checkpoint/restart. ColdStore
might be used to replace a database, cache highly
structured objects, act as an OODB, make STL
persistent, act as a Document Store for
XML/SGML/HTML, create a MUD. Future projects
include a virtual machine toolkit, ports of several
languages, VM and byte-interpretive language
workbench.

Correction de quelques dépendances du système après les évaluations: rm dépendance libbfd fallacieux, rm-rpath / usr / local / lib, ajouter elf.h inclusion explicite, l'amélioration de la compatibilité descendante gcc, je l'espère fait compilation plus robuste. La difficulté avec des variations entre les versions de la carte mémoire .* linux2.2 demeure. Si vous rencontrez des difficultés avec mmap, essayez de réduire qvmm / max qvmm.h à 0x40000000.
Fixed some system dependancies after feedback: rm spurious libbfd dependancy, rm -rpath /usr/local/lib, add explicit elf.h inclusion, improved gcc backward compatibility, hopefully made compilation more robust. The difficulty with memory map variation between linux2.2.* versions remains. If you're having difficulty with mmap, try reducing qvmm/qvmm.h max to 0x40000000.
