Un soutien a été ajouté pour détecter les disques derrière les contrôleurs 3ware (Linux, Windows), y compris tw_cli / mode px cx / dans Windows. Beesu et su-to-root sont pris en charge par le script gsmartcontrol-root. La base de données d'attribut et sa manipulation (y compris le soutien SSD) ont été complètement remanié. Full support was added for multiple drives behind a single device name. Support was added for detecting drives behind 3ware controllers (Linux, Windows), including tw_cli/cx/px mode in Windows. Beesu and su-to-root are supported by the gsmartcontrol-root script now. The attribute database and its handling (including SSD support) were completely revamped. General UI improvements and better in-program help were implemented. The parser has been updated to reflect the recent changes in smartctl. Other minor features were added and a few bugs were fixed.
GSmartControl XDG utilise maintenant le répertoire de configuration pour une configuration par utilisateur sur Unix et le répertoire CSIDL_PROFILE sur Windows. Configuration existante est migré automatiquement. Les noms sont affichés correctement pour les périphériques non pris en charge, même avec les derniers instantanés smartctl maintenant. GSmartControl now uses the XDG config directory for per-user configuration on Unix and the CSIDL_PROFILE directory on Windows. Existing configuration is migrated automatically. The names are shown correctly for unsupported devices even with the latest smartctl snapshots now. The progress bars update properly when parallel tests are run. On Windows, GSmartControl should be able to operate on any valid filesystem path (not just locale-representable ones). Parsing of multiple error types in SMART error log was fixed. Minor features were added and miscellaneous bugs were fixed.
Linux Software périphériques RAID sont sur liste noire maintenant (backportées de Debian). Une page de l'homme a contribué. Le smartctl version inclut désormais la date snapshot CVS (si disponibles). Beaucoup de fenêtres-bugs spécifiques ont été fixés. Windows 2000 est maintenant officiellement supporté. Many Windows-specific bugs were fixed. Windows 2000 is officially supported now. New scripts were added to read SMART data from cron-generated files, thus preventing the need to run GSmartControl as root for read-only tasks. Some configure system improvements were made.
Le script a été renommé en gsmartcontrol_root.sh gsmartcontrol-root, en intégrant la distribution-fixes spécifiques ainsi que des auto-détection de bureau. Beaucoup de fenêtres liées corrections ont été faites (notamment pour Vista). D'autres bugs mineurs ont été corrigés.

The gsmartcontrol_root.sh script was renamed to gsmartcontrol-root, incorporating distribution-specific fixes as well as desktop auto-detection. Many Windows-related fixes were made (especially for Vista). Other minor bugs were fixed.
