Description du projet

PCLinuxOS is an English-only GNU/Linux distribution that runs entirely from a bootable CD without installing anything on your computer. Data on the CD is decompressed on the fly, allowing up to 2GB of programs on one CD, including a complete X server, KDE desktop, OpenOffice.org, Thunderbird, Firefox, P2P file sharing, and much more, all preconfigured and ready to use. In addition to the liveCD mode, you can also install PCLinuxOS to your hard drive using an easy-to-use liveCD installer.

Cette version apporte de KDE 4.6.4, Firefox 5.0, Thunderbird 3.1.11, 2.9.0 Pidgin, VLC 1.10.0 et 0.7.1 Clémentine. Le noyau Linux a été mis à jour 2.6.38.8, Xorg à 1.10.2, et Mesa 3D à 7.10.3. Sont également disponibles GCC 4.5.2 et glibc 2.10.1. Ce communiqué a également reçu une cure de jouvence complète. Preview 9.1

Il s'agit d'une mise à jour pour le liveCD avec correctifs pour des problèmes divers rencontrés après la commercialisation de preview 9. Un nouveau noyau 2.6.11-oci12 a été ajouté. Xorg a été mis à jour. Le PCLOS Control Center a été mis à jour pour corriger quelques utilitaires de configuration. Un nouveau disque d'installation kdeusb clé a été ajouté pour l'utilisation du compte Invité sur un disque usbkey. L'installeur vérifie maintenant pour vous assurer d'avoir assez d'espace sur la partition primaire de faire une installation complète. Le LiveCD a été entièrement mis à jour de Synaptic.

This is an update for the liveCD with fixes for various issues found after the release of preview 9. A new 2.6.11-oci12 kernel was added. Xorg was updated. The PCLOS Control Center was updated to fix some configuration utilities. A new kdeusb disk key setup was added for using the guest account on a usbkey disk. The installer now checks to make sure you have enough space on the primary partition to do a complete install. The liveCD was fully updated from Synaptic.
