X Application Server System (XASS) allows for the
creation of 'application servers' and clients
which request that applications be run on a server
but displayed locally. Servers can be queried for
an application or services can be broadcasted.
Authentication is provided, and applications are
run as the user who requested them, although this
is configurable. It allows applications to be
served in heterogeneous, load-balanced, or
distributed environments.
