j2me qrdecoder optimizing (2008-02-01 11:13 by Anonyme #34823)
Hi, i'm designing an appilication to decode qr code for cellular phone.
i've two problem:
1- if i try to decode an image whith resolution > 320*240 the decoder lounch a out of memory exception
2-the process of decode is very slow
i ask to you: if i use a simple 1 dimen array rather than 2 dimensional can resolve my problem?
or if i use a simple array to filter the image and in the second time i convert to 2dimensional array
in this sequence
a- void imageToGrayScale(int[] image)
b- boolean[]grayScaleToBitmap(int[] grayScale)
c- int[][] imageToIntArray(booleanImage)
can resolve my problem?
thank very much!:... exuse my bad english i hope you Understand me....

Thank you for your suggestion. Basically I agree with your proposal.
As you know, current implementation requires much memory. As you mentioned, several representations of a image exist in decoding process; Image object, int[][] array, boolean[][] array at once. And 320x240 (or bigger) size data of them require huge memory area.
Then, better code which uses less memory is needed. It will be faster than current one too.

i try to modyfi the library but now don't Recognize the qrcode and i dont' find where is the error. if you can help me i can post the part of modify code... thanks a lot!:
