ZZIPlib provides read access on ZIP-archives. The library uses only the patent-free compression-algorithms supported by zlib. Functions are provided that transparently access files being either real files or zipped files, both with the same filepath. The zip-archive can be used in the place of a normal subdirectory. It is written in portable C.

DeltaRPM is a tool that generates RPMs that
contains the difference between an old and a new
version of an RPM. This makes it possible to
recreate the new RPM from the deltarpm and the old
one. You don't have to have a copy of the old RPM,
as it can also work with installed RPMs. The
package also contains tools for creating and
applying delta ISOs.
Emerde is a port of Gentoo's portage system that
installs, removes, updates, and maintains your
system rapidly and easily. On Slackware, it
cooperates with the package database and allows
you to install .tgz files directly using
KDE Disk archiver is a disk-based archiving and
backup utility. It can perform differential
backups, which means that it can quickly store the
differences between a recent full backup and the
current state of your data. An archive browser
easily allows you to view the "table of contents"
of your archive. A sophisticated file filtering
mechanism allows you to select which files and
directories to backup or restore, and which files
to compress. The table of contents can be
extracted from the archive and used as a reference
when making differential backups, which means you
don't need your archive CDs handy to do a
differential backup of the entire filesystem.

Spack is a standalone package manager with its own CPIO-based package format but aiming to keep total compatibility with Slackware Linux. Written in POSIX shell as much as it makes sense, it attempts to provide a fairly complete toolkit to build, install, remove, list, retrieve, and arrange your packages. It can be used as an alternative to Slackware's pkgtools, just to independently and properly manage your local software on any distribution, or as the main package manager of the distribution you build yourself.
The poldek is an RPM package management tool which
allows you to easily perform package verification,
installation (including system installation from
scratch), upgrading, and removal. Package
dependencies are automatically handled, so if you
try to install a package that needs others to be
installed, it will download all needed packages
and install them. It can be used in batch (like
apt-get from Debian's APT) or interactive mode.
The interactive mode puts you into a readline
interface with commandline autocompletion and
history, similar to the shell mode of Perl's CPAN.
make_uninstall is used to monitor a command
like 'make install', so a record of the install can be
created, which will allow you to completely remove
the package from your system later.

CPANPLUS::Dist::Slackware creates Slackware-compatible packages from Perl modules available at the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN).
APT-RPM is a port of Debian's APT tools for RPM based distributions (Conectiva, Red Hat, SuSE, ALT-Linux, etc). APT is an advanced package management utility front-end which allows you to easily perform package installation, upgrading and removal. Dependencies are automatically handled, so if you try to install a package that needs others to be installed, it will download all needed packages and install them.

pkt is a universal XML packet archiver. It can manipulate files for
backing up documents, transferring them across networks, emailing them,
and sharing them by other means (p2p etc). It uses plugin filters to
do the job and handles virtually any format available if there is a
plugin for it. It handles encryption, compression, conversion, parity
checking, decryption, decoding, repairing, rebuilding, and other tasks
using a universal file format (XML-based). By default, all pkt output is
in 7-bit ASCII which is UTF encoded and is compatible with XML parsers.
pkt files can be disassembled, reassembled, and repaired by hand if
necessary. pkt also supports the use of 8-bit compressed XML packets for
its archives using one of several compression algorithms. In general,
pkt will try to use the best algorithms available.

Graft provides a mechanism for managing multiple packages under a single directory hierarchy. It was inspired by both Depot (from Carnegie Mellon University) and Stow (by Bob Glickstein). Packages are installed in self-contained directory trees and symbolic links from a common area are made to the package files.
