Xscorch is a clone of the classic DOS game "Scorched Earth". The basic goal is to annihilate enemy tanks using overpowered guns. Players can purchase weapons and accessories to defend their tank, and they can attack enemy tanks by adjusting the angle of the tank's turret and the firing power. Xscorch supports gameplay with humans and computer AIs, and network gameplay is in development.

Free Conquest and Colonization of America is a remake of a fantastic
old game from Microprose called Colonization. Those who have played
Civilization will find the game style very similar. In Civilization, the
game time goes from pre-history to the future, but in Free Conquest and
Colonization of America, all action happens during the exploration age,
from 1492 to 1800. The goal of the game is to build a colony in America
and make this colony grow big enough to be able to achieve independence
from the motherland. A player can choose among the English, French,
Dutch, and Spanish nations, each having its own qualities and problems.
During colonization, the player will face many challenges, such as
negotiating (and making war, if necessary) with other European colonies
and native tribes. Winning the hearts of the colonists (by making they
feel that the colony is their home) is the key to getting enough support
to fight for independence. Allowing religious freedom in your colony
will attract more colonists persecuted for their faith in Europe.

XiStrat (aka 'Extended Strategy') is in particular about turn-based, networked multiplayer, non-cooperative, zero-sum, abstract strategy board games (e.g., Chess, Go, Reversi variants, etc.) on 3D-visualized polyhedra and contains a server, client GUI, autoplayer engine, utilities, and documentation. Related recreational modern mathematics (single agent, cellular automata, graph/group/complexity/knot theory, discrete geometry, algebra, combinatorics, and mathematical physics) is also dealt with.

CHEOPS (CHEss OPponent Simulator) is a fully-functional AI chess program capable of human vs. human, human vs. computer, and computer vs. computer play. It uses a 64-square linear array board
representation. The game tree search is
alpha-beta, and the static evaluation function
considers material, mobility, and motif features. CHEOPS comes with extensive documentation on the program internals, aimed at students or programmers wishing to understand or extend the system.

WorDoG (World Domination Game) is basically a derivate from Risk, the popular board game. The project aims to provide this strategical multiplayer game on a HTML-only basis. All necessary calculations are done serverside by PHP, and data is stored in a database (PEAR DB).

ski is a game in which you ski down an infinite slope,
facing such hazards as trees, ice, bare ground, and the
man-eating Yeti. Since you have put your jet-powered
skis on backwards, you can't see ahead where you are
going; only behind where you have been. However, you
can turn to either side, jump or hop through the air,
teleport through hyperspace, launch nuclear ICBMs, and
cast spells to call the Fire Demon. And since the hazards
occur in patches, you can skillfully outmaneuver them. A
fun and very silly game that proves you don't need fancy
graphical user interfaces to have a good time.

MegaMekNET is based on FASA's Classic Battletech
boardgame. It lets you join the war for the Inner
Sphere. The game allows you to join a house and
lead units of towering Meks against other players
online from around the globe. Crush the other
houses beneath your armoured feet in this
turn-based strategy game. You and your team fight
to resurrect the Star League.

Gomoku.app is an extended TicTacToe game for GNUstep. You win the game if you are able to put 5 of your pieces in a row, column, or diagonal. You lose if the computer does so before you. You can play the game on boards of different size. The game has 6 different difficulty levels.
