Rescue! Max is a 2D space, real-time, action/strategy game in which you are in control of a ship that you fly around space, fighting enemies and making friends on your way. The main objective is to rescue people from planets and take them to star bases.

Particle explosions were added. Inheritance of
SpaceObjects was redone. A wait cursor was added
for when a new mission is loading. In the rescue
theme, the maximum energy was changed to 9999
instead of 10000, a better romulan warbird was
added, and an original main ship was added. In the
rescue max theme, there are less of those evil
nutrals by default. Auto impulse and auto warp are
now cleared correctly when the ship that is set as
the destination is killed. The game now ends when
you get killed. The game does not automatically
start when you start the application.

Cette version ajoute une nouvelle interface (les utilisateurs Mac faut la dernière version de Java pour que cela fonctionne). Une boîte de retard a été ajoutée aux options, donc le jeu peut être ralenti.
