Cette version apporte de nombreuses améliorations pour les fichiers générés spec. Beaucoup tr / min standard 3 / 4 macros sont utilisées, rendant le fichier résultant plus générique. Le contenu des fichiers de documentation sont utilisés pour remplir la description%. La distribution Linux est détectée, et un groupe approprié: ligne est fixée, si possible. Une section% post est ajoutée pour les paquets de bibliothèques. Un bogue lié à certains paramètres en utilisant le chown Installwatch option-w a été corrigé. Des avertissements ont été éliminés lors de l'exécution sur Python 2.1. Le problème de page de manuel dans le fichier spec AutoSpec sur Red Hat 7.x a été corrigé.

Major feature enhancements
This release adds many improvements to the generated spec files. Many
standard RPM 3/4 macros are used, making the resulting file more
generic. The contents of documentation files are used to fill
%description. The Linux distribution is detected, and an appropriate
Group: line is set, if possible. A %post section is added for library
packages. A bug related to some chown settings using the installwatch
-w option has been fixed. Warnings have been eliminated when running
on Python 2.1. The man page problem in autospec's spec file on Red Hat
7.x has been fixed.
