BIRT is a simple application that allows a large number of
images to be resized in one go. It was created in order to
facilitate the maintenance of an online photo album
where each hi-res photo needs a low-res copy and a
thumbnail.

Minor feature enhancements
The format (PNG, JPEG, etc.) of images can now be
changed as they are resized. Lossless image
formats now produce smaller output files. The
build system should now work out of the box on
standard Linux distributions. The output file name
suffix is now inserted in the correct place.
Le code de base a été complètement réécrit, et utilise aujourd'hui Qt4. Une fonctionnalité a été ajoutée et l'interface utilisateur de nettoyer. Le passage à Qt4 a augmenté le nombre de plates-formes prises en charge, et les paquetages binaires sont disponibles pour la première fois.

Code cleanup
The code base has been completely rewritten, and now uses Qt4. Functionality has been added and the UI cleaned up. The move to Qt4 has increased the number of supported platforms, and binary packages are available for the first time.
