Description du projet

ngIRCd is a portable IRC daemon written from scratch. It is easy to configure, supports server links (even with original ircds) and runs on hosts with changing IP addresses (such as dial-in networks). Currently supported platforms are AIX, A/UX, Darwin/Mac OS X, FreeBSD, HP-UX, IRIX, Linux, NetBSD, SunOS/Solaris, and Windows with Cygwin.

WHOIS a été amélioré pour afficher l'heure "signon" d'utilisateurs. Deux nouvelles commandes IRC ont été ajoutées: "WALLOPS" et "STATS u". Des variables de configuration ont été ajouté afin de définir la longueur maximale Nick nom, de lier le démon à une interface réseau spécifique, et de déclarer les serveurs configurés en tant que «passive».
