Description du projet

The OpenBSD project produces a free, multi-platform 4.4BSD-based UNIX-like operating system. Its goals emphasize portability, standardization, correctness, proactive security, and integrated cryptography. OpenBSD supports binary emulation of most programs from SVR4 (Solaris), FreeBSD, Linux, BSD/OS, SunOS, and HP-UX.

Cette version ajoute le support matériel, une interface de gestion RAID, un démon sans fil d'accès hôte, les améliorations majeures à l'amélioration bgpd et ospfd, grand dans NFS performance en écriture, pages de garde (qui aident à détecter les dépassements de tampon de tas en fonction et de prévenir les différents types d'attaques), et OpenSSH 4.2. malloc (3) utilise maintenant mmap (2), présentant la répartition des adresses imprévisible.
