SMessy is a GTK+ application that allows you to
compose, read, and reply to SMS messages using
your GSM cellular telephone. It is confirmed to
work with the Nokia 8290 phones, using serial over
IrDA to talk to the phone, but it should work with
other GSM phones using either I/R or serial cables.
