The goal of XPS is to make programming simpler by
raising the level of abstraction without loss of
performance. It provides true support for
meta-programming and domain specific languages,
making it possible to design simple programming
languages to match the problem at hand. This is
the opposite of current practice which seeks to
translate the problem domain down into the low
level solution domain of current programming
languages.
