Gitrev commit number no longer appearing anywere useful (3.0.0-beta0 a26111bbd4)
This is likely property of beta-mode. Version number string is constructed differently for a branch in beta-mode than otherwise (includes the 'beta' word)
Patch works for me.
The gitrev commit has disappeared from wherever it used to be. It can still be found on the very first screen (as you can see from my Summary), but it's not cut'n'pasteable. I can't remember where it used to be found (About Freeciv, maybe), but I'm certain that I did not transcribe it manually, 2 characters at a time, and then carefully recheck afterwards. It used to be somewhere easy to find, totally cut'n'pasteable, blam, instantly done, no thinking, no checking.
