plircc is a replacement for irexec and irxevent.
It implements a modified stack automaton to keep
track of the remote control state. Its
configuration is far more powerful and easier than
the classic .lircrc way. It has OSD support, so
you can display many things on the screen for
instant visual user feedback. It also tries to
monitor the processes to automatically jump to
good state when the user launches an application
supported by the configuration file.
