Tera Term

I'm looking for what I've always called a terminal emulator. I need to control a device over a serial port by sending commands and seeing the responses. I would like to be able to see the control characters, use a different color text for sent data and received data. I also need to send the contents of a file as if I typed the data into the console.

I think it will send the file ok. Oddly enough this seems to be under File... Send file... Crazy how they did that!

But I haven't found a way to separately control the color of the sent and received characters in the display. Nor have I found a way to show the control characters.
