Absolutely terrible overall. While the conceptual design was groundbreaking, the quality of the code is such that enough was done to fulfill research paper obligations, and no more.
While the build system is much improved, the display performance of both GTK and VNC outputs are slow enough as to make them extremely unusable for my computing archaeology work.
The VNC display also suffers from severe bugs in keyboard input, e.g. non-alphanumeric control and shift keys do not map, at all, and the shift key behavior is random, and even caps lock doesn't map appropriately.
Unusable. Still. And I've been following TME since its release many years ago.
Pros
* Much improved build system
* VNC display seems to work better than the GTK display.
Cons
* Severe keyboard mapping errors make VNC display unusable
* GTK display is _Very_ odd on my 4K resolution machine, doubles up horizontally.
AARGHHHH.
