cvsfs4hurd is a translator for the GNU Hurd which
allows a user to "mount" a CVS module into the
local filesystem. It allows the user to view
version controlled files as if they were regular
files on disk. Either the CVS pserver or the
:ext:-way method is used to connect.

The GoblinX Micro Edition is the smallest version
of GoblinX and contains only Fluxbox as the window
manager and GTK based applications. This edition
is indicated for those users who like to do fast
tests, know more about Fluxbox, and rebuild the
live CD.

Easy DialUp is a simple Web-based dialup/modem
client for Linux. It's the Linux dialup client for
someone who doesn’t want to know what a Linux
dialup client is.

autoboot is a job scheduler/watchdog to
automatically compile/boot
and run test suites with experimental Linux
kernels. It runs from a
central server and a pool of clients. The central
server builds various
kernels, then automatically boots a subset of them
on the clients and
runs test suites (like autotest). The server is
very careful to watch
the clients for hangs and power switch them as
needed, and will also
automatically fetch serial logs from a console
server. All the resulting
information is stored in a unique output directory
for each for easy
post processing. autoboot is a collection of bash
shell scripts. It will
need some adaption for local infrastructure.

The Entitlement Based Scheduler (EBS) is a
modification of the Linux O(1) CPU scheduler that
introduces entitlement based scheduling for
SCHED_NORMAL tasks in Linux 2.6 kernels. The
design features of the O(1) scheduler that address
the issues of scalability and efficiency are
retained. Entitlement based sharing means that
each task has its own variable entitlement to CPU
resources, and the scheduler allocates more CPU
time to tasks with greater entitlement. The
priority of each task is continually adjusted to
achieve this aim.

Atkins can be used to examine variables, tables, and
linked lists in the running kernel. Subcommands can be
entered to show formatted kernel administration of
processes, open files, incore inodes, page cache
buffers, sockets, etc. Memory dumps can be shown
using virtual or physical addresses, or using addresses
within user space of a particular process. Furthermore
stack backtraces can be printed e.g. to determine the
reason why a particular process is currently in a wait-
state. Note that atkins requires a certain level of
knowledge about the Linux kernel.

Rotcerider is a redirector for the Squid proxy that captures a browser's
start page, storing session information.

NeWBIE is a NetBSD live CD geared towards the
desktop user. It includes software for Web
browsing, chatting, multimedia, and document editing.
