Patch Maker helps you manage multiple simultaneous
in-progress source code patches to software. It
remembers which files are part of which patch, and
keeps them disentangled during the development
process. It speeds up common operations and
housekeeping tasks, allowing you to focus on
writing code.

cvsroot is a script to help keep track of multiple
sites when using CVS, and in particular the
CVSROOT and CVS_RSH environment variables for
those sites. It creates a $HOME/.cvsroot file,
with shortcut names representing the different
CVS sites. The new environment variables
appropriate to the site selected will then be
set, and a new shell will be spawned to keep the
variables. In this way, you do not have to keep
setting the environment yourself, and can rely on
the script to keep track of things for you.

CVSSearch searches for code fragments using CVS comments. Specifically, it takes advantage of the fact that a CVS comment describes the lines of code involved in the commit and that this description will typically hold for many future versions. In other words, CVSSearch allows you to better search the most recent version of the code by looking at previous versions to better understand the current version.

CVSAnalY is a tool that extracts and analyzes information from CVS and Subversion repository logs.

Deluxe Loginfo generates email reports of CVS and
Subversion changesets for multiple repositories.
The log message provides full details: author, log
message, the list of modified files, and
(optionally) a unified diff format patch for the
change. It features Bugzilla and ViewCVS
integration, and HTML output with colored diffs.

cvsfs4hurd is a translator for the GNU Hurd which
allows a user to "mount" a CVS module into the
local filesystem. It allows the user to view
version controlled files as if they were regular
files on disk. Either the CVS pserver or the
:ext:-way method is used to connect.

The CVS Accesslist Patch is a safe way to keep users accessing only
the modules you specify. It works simply: A person is only able to
perform CVS operations if he has a copy of the original module on his
machine. It has a configuration file under the CVSROOT tree; in this
file, you specify which user will be able to access the modules in
your repository.

CVSLines helps when committing changes on several
branches in CVS. It creates several CVS commands
which the user would normally have to create himself.

cvsphpview is a class based on phpBrowseCVS that
provides a simple Web interface for accessing CVS
repositories. It supports lists, logs, diffs,
annotates, and checkouts.

CvsKnit is a toolset to automate knitting up CVS
repositories from existing source packages. This
may be useful to start revision management with
old releases included in the same repository, and
to automate external released packages into a CVS
repository.

cvsclone is a utility to clone CVS repositories
over the cvspserver interface. It works for
anonymous access.

lalaCVSMail is a notification tool which sends mail after a
CVS commit has completed with information relating to the
commit. It accesses the raw CVS file instead of working with
temporary files or secondary CVS operations.

Pharmacy is a GNOME-compliant front end for CVS (Concurrent Versions System).
The software is still in an alpha stage, but it provides at least some kind of
GNOME-based front end for CVS.

The FILTR (File Inventory for Loading, Transfer,
and Recovery) automates CVS functions for personal
use, allowing a user to maintain a watch on any
directory, mirroring it in an intermediate working
directory and taking care of all import, add,
delete, and update calls to the CVS repository.
No changes or additions are made to the directory
under watch. The user can revert a watched
directory to any previous saved state with a
button click, or call up one or several past
versions of a file. Groups can also make use of
the same repository for file sharing.

Antmod is a build management, release
management, and repository management
tool. Its implementation is an Ant-based
extensible engine for retrieving, versioning,
building, and deploying code to and from
Subversion or CVS. It standardizes build files
for Java projects and provides build plugins for
various tasks. It also standardizes tagging
and branching for both CVS and Subversion,
and its module and repository management
can also be used for non-Java projects. It
greatly speeds up Java software
development, promotes reuse of Java
software, and standardizes the build-test-
release cycle.
